Apr 15, 2020     6W2 - Right side Aileron - (4 hours) Category: Wings
Drilled and cleco'd right side flap everything with exception of the Mass Balancer and Mass Balancer ribs (6W12). IMHO the plans weren't 100% clear on whether the Mass Balancer ribs were supposed to be completely parallel to the other ribs or perpendicular to the front aileron skin edge. It just shows 327mm from the bottom of the last inner rib and then 40mm over to the other mass balancer rib. I suppose there is some technical drawing rule that I don't remember from engineering college that if there's a difference in distance then it'll be pointed out specifically.

I left Roger at Zenith the question.

One more thing that's really weird with the aileron. The aileron actually is designed to have a twist in it. Therefore I cut a 13mm wooden block to put under the trailing outside corner to lift it before drilling the ribs. This really worked! Still seems weird though....to do on purpose. Hopefully I can exactly match it on the other side.
